Yes. These #14 screws act as modern "Structural Lags." They have the shear strength to replace traditional 1/4" lag bolts but install much faster because they typically don't require pre-drilling in softwoods like pine.

Can I use these for deck floorboards?
No. These have a protruding Washer Head designed for framing (joists, posts, beams). The head sits on top of the wood to provide clamping force. For walking surfaces (decking boards), you should use Flat/Bugle head screws that sit flush.
